Representing a Variety of Cultures, Jackson Heights Votes

Bangladeshis, Mexicans, Indians, and Pakistanis were among the new citizens who voted Tuesday at P.S. 69 in Jackson Heights, Queens. Early in the day the polls were quiet, but as things picked up later on there was evident confusion about the process. Many said they were first-time voters who had just attained U.S. citizenship.
